Dairy milk singled out as the biggest dietary cause of osteoporosis

Dairy milk depletes the finite reserve of bone-making cells in the body, more than any other food. So although the hype of milk making the bones stronger makes its rounds in your life – know that it does only in the short term, in the long run dairy milk actually erodes the bone-making cells, which in turn increases the risk of osteoporosis. This explains a paradox: black people are known to be less tolerant to lactose in milk, and consequently they drink less milk, yet they are less prone to osteoporosis than white people actually are. This new research has resolved the paradox because the lesser milk you consume, the less likely it is for you to get osteoporosis.

Growing evidence is showing that calcium in milk does not provide protection against osteoporosis. For example, in a 12-year Harvard study that included 78,000 women, those who drank milk three times a day actually broke more bones than women who rarely consumed milk. Similarly, a study conducted in the year 1994 in Sydney, Australia, reflected that higher dairy product consumption was associated with increased risk of fracture: Subjects with the highest level of dairy consumption had double the risk of incurring a hip fracture compared to the people with the lowest consumption of milk.

Author Russell Eaton says: ‘Dairy milk does increase bone density, but this comes at a terrible price. The latest research is showing that far from protecting bones, milk actually increases the risk of osteoporosis by eroding bone-making cells. Also, people with osteoporosis have a much higher incidence of heart disease and cancer, and the evidence is pointing at milk as the common factor. ‘

It had been believed that the cause of prostate cancer was the harmful fats present in the diet, but it may not be so. Calcium and phosphorus in milk are responsible to serve to feed the nanobacteria, which further causing calcification and cancer.

The harmful calcification, caused by nanobacteria in the body, is the potential root of many diseases like arthritis, kidney stones, heart disease as well as stroke. These microscopic organisms are fed calcium and phosphorus by the bloodstream, following which they then secrete calcium phosphate that causes calcification. In the book The Milk Imperative the author depicts how dairy milk feeds the nanobacteria, thus leading to many serious diseases in people.

Commenting on the book Dr. Amy Lanou (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, USA) said: ‘There is a compelling argument that today’s pasteurized milk, in all its guises, has virtually no redeeming features at all, and serves only to cause disease and poor health. By simply switching from dairy to non-dairy milk we will make a dramatic and long-lasting improvement to our health.’

Dairy milk can be replaced with several other milks that do not come from dairy. Try resorting to alternatives like soya milk, almond milk, coconut milk, hemp milk, and rice milk. These natural alternatives of dairy milk provide sufficient nourishment, without having any long term ill effect.

Tip: Consume variations of milk; do not stick to one variation of milk for a very long time. Neglecting milk can bring about a serious calcium deficiency, which can give rise to several other health problems.
